Active
Care

Movement support built around real life — not a gym program. Designed for individuals who need a slower, more intentional approach to physical activity, independence, and quality of life.

What it is

Movement Support for Real Life

Active Care is not traditional personal training — and it is not medical therapy. It is a personalised, founder-led movement service built around the individual — their abilities, their environment, their daily life.

Sessions are shaped around what actually matters: walking, standing, carrying, reaching, balance, and confidence in everyday movement. The goal is simple — help each person move through life with more independence, safety, and joy.

Guided, accessible movementAdapted to each individual's abilities — not a fixed program
Real-world physical activityParks, trails, community spaces — not just a gym floor
Education and understandingClients learn how their body moves, feels, and responds
Long-term supportConsistency and relationship — not quick fixes or one-off sessions

This is what Active Care looks like

In the Gym.
In the Community. In Real Life.

Active Care happens wherever the individual is — not just inside four walls. These are real clients, real sessions, real moments of progress.

Who this is designed for

Built for Individuals Who Need More

Active Care is for people who have been overlooked by traditional fitness — those who need patience, adaptability, and a coach who genuinely understands their world.

This is intentionally a small service. That is not a limitation — it is the point. Quality of care requires limits on quantity.

This service is not about capability ceilings — it is about removing them. Every person we work with is capable of more than they have been given the chance to show.

Physical or cognitive disabilities

Individuals navigating movement, coordination, or cognitive challenges who benefit from a slower, more intentional coaching approach.

Chronic conditions or long-term limitations

People managing conditions that affect daily movement, energy, or physical function — who need a coach, not a program.

Those needing extra support and patience

Individuals for whom traditional coaching environments have felt too fast, too loud, or too impersonal to make real progress.

Anyone working toward greater independence

People whose goal is not aesthetics — but moving through daily life with more confidence, safety, and freedom.

What makes it different

Not Therapy. Not Standard PT.
Something Built for This.

Active Care sits in a space that most services don't reach — too active for clinical care, too specialised for a standard gym. It was built specifically for this gap.

Human-centered

The person comes first. Always.

Every session is shaped around the individual's energy, ability, and goals that day. No rigid programs. No one-size fits all. The coaching adjusts — not the client.

Movement-first

Function before fitness.

We prioritise how the body moves in real life — walking, reaching, carrying, balancing. Real physical capability that transfers outside the session, not gym numbers.

Community-integrated

Life is the training ground.

Sessions happen in gyms, parks, trails, community spaces — wherever movement matters most for that individual. We meet people where their life actually is.

Education-based

Understanding builds independence.

Clients learn about how their body works, how movement affects energy and mood, and how to build habits that carry beyond the coaching relationship.

Relationship-driven

Trust is the foundation.

Progress in Active Care requires a real relationship. We take time to understand each person — their communication style, what motivates them, what makes them feel safe.

Important to know

A complement — not a replacement.

Active Care is not medical care, physical therapy, or clinical treatment. It is a movement-based quality-of-life service designed to work alongside existing care — not replace it.

For Support Coordinators & Families

DBHDD & waiver services

Working Toward
Listed Provider Status

BBHF is actively working toward becoming a listed provider under the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD).

If you are a support coordinator or family member seeking movement services that may align with a waiver or support plan, we encourage you to reach out. We are happy to discuss how Active Care may fit within an individual's existing care framework.

1

Contact us

Start with a conversation — no commitment required. We'll discuss the individual's needs and whether Active Care is the right fit.

2

Intake Consultation

A dedicated intake session for DBHDD documentation, separate from general coaching intake. Support staff and family members are welcome.

3

Begin when ready

No pressure. We start when the individual and their support network feel confident and prepared.

Who to contact: Support coordinators, case managers, family members, and caregivers are all welcome to reach out on behalf of an individual.

What to mention: Please note if you are inquiring through a DBHDD waiver or support plan so we can ensure our intake process aligns with your documentation needs.

Response time: We respond to all Active Care inquiries personally. This is not an automated system — you will hear from the founder directly.

Maximum Active Care Clients at Any Time

Active Care is founder-led only — intentionally. Limiting the number of clients is not a business decision. It is a care decision. Every Active Care client receives direct, consistent, personal attention that cannot be scaled without compromising quality.

When capacity is full, we maintain a waitlist. If you are interested, the right time to reach out is now — not when a space opens.

The First Step Is
Just a Conversation.

No commitment. No pressure. Just an honest conversation about whether Active Care is the right fit — for the individual, the family, and the goals.
